Unit size?.....well, I'd like something small enough that i can slip it into my bag easily, basically, as long as its not overly huge, any size would suffice

Ryan

is the nec mobilepro size OK?

I might have a Jornada 680e, Dutch Railways conversion unit for sale soon. Works great, will include a wifi card, cf card, ac adapter, case and a great battery.
I'm asking $125 plus shipping, that's what I paid for it.

Thanks,
Ron

What is actually the difference between a normal 680e and a 680e of the NS (=Nederlandse Spoorwegen= Dutch Railways). Or is the onliest differene the NS logo?

they're missing the audio buttons and have a false bottom that covers the cf slot making it unaccessible (you can buy new audio buttons from hp and remove the bottom to get to the cf slot)

Sadly, i was incredibly close to a 690, which in the last few minutes has fallen. I'm very much still in need for one. As school started today, I've discovered that a HPC would do wonders, as most of my courses require that i write the notes, then type them up at night....Be nice to just type them in class

Cmonex, thanks for the suggestions, Its alot better now, to broaden the search

A Jornada 820 might also be a good idea since you basically need a mobile typewriter. It has a bigger screen and a more comfortable keyboard (compared to 680/7xx). Also Psion Netbook Pro. But this one is quite a bit more expensive.

Cheers

If you're patient, you may well track down an NEC 770 for about that.
