Got a CF128MB and SD256MB for...

Hm....

Transcend CF 128MB 1999 JPY or about $20.00 + and SD256MB with 7MB transfer speed for 2999 JPY or about $30.00 + The 128MB is now being used on my Mobile Gear MC-R520 to host some webpages at: http://ppctweakies.stingraze.net .

The 256MB SD I got works real great, and is being used on my Cassiopeia E-700WE. Works great, I can't believe I didn't get one sooner. (I had only a sad 32MB SD!)

These memory cards were bought at Akihabara, and man, they do sell real cheap flash memory cards...

i got my 256 CF for 4000 HUF which means 22 $ or even less. my 512 CF was about 50 $. i think that 22$ is a great price! they're kingston and sandisk, respectively.

For us Brits that's £9.99 for 128MB and £14.99 for 256MB.
Roughly the price of them here Before VAT.

I suddenly found myself with 3 X 512MB CFs ...
Own was sent by my steward, whiile 2 are swapped for the keyboard and sd card. So I have 1 X 512CF Rosewill (~$37, chiefvalue.com | newegg.com), 2 X 512CF Sandisk



I got a 64MB CF way back in 2000 for ~$60 after conversion. Or was it 32MB ...

Cool... Worldwide speaking, memory cards' price aren't that different after all is it?? lol.

In one shop called "Akibaoo" they were selling a mp3 player for 7980 JPY WITH 512 SD memory... I was like " what?? When did the SD memory get so cheap?? (Not that I was checking every day or week) "

I mean several years ago (like maybe 3 years) 32MB SD was like 2500yen second hand!! Can't wait until 4GB CF becomes 1980 JPY! lol

Yeah ... how they drop in price. And by then when 4GB CF becomes that cheap, we would be lugging around video clips that are easily 500MB in sizes!! And 20GB CF will be like $35~$40 ... ehehhee ....
