On my Netbook Pro Jscript is no longer working in Internet Explorer.
Switching it on and off in the option menu changes nothing
Is there a key in the registry where I can check and change?

Hmm...don´t know how I managed to switch off scripting.
This already happened some time ago. Then I did a hard reset to get rid of it.
Now I´m looking for another way.

I already thought of this.
Don´t know which piece of software this should have been
Anywhere, there should be something in the registry that switches Jscript on or off, shouldn´t it?

Is VBScript working? What is the file date of JScript.dll in the system folder?

Do you have the proper registry CLI's e.g.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{F414C260-6AC0-11CF-B6D1-00AA00BBBB58}

VBscript? Hm..how can I check this?
File date of jscript.dll is 30/11/2005.
Registry key as you mentioned is avaiblable. There are three sub-keys:
InprocServer32 (default=jscript.dll, ThreadingModel=both)
OLEscript (nothing in there)
ProgID (Default=Jscript)

Try something like http://www.b2knet.com/ for a browser control test.

I'll assume that that file date matches the file dates of other system files on the rom?
