How about a version of Airsnort or WEPcrack for the HPC2000?

You'll never know until you try...

Airsnort: "exceptionally difficult" to "impossible" would be my guess. You need GLIB, GTK2, pango and atk. You need airopeek on windows as you need a couple of dlls from that software which isn't available on Windows CE, so you'll need to implement the calls that airsnort is using airopeek dlls for.

In other words, forget that.

WEPCrack: it's written in PERL, so might be possible but I very very much doubt it will be anything other than exceptionally difficult.

If you want this sort of thing, get a Zaurus.

airsnort uses gtk2? from what i remember it was a console app?

Well... the most difficult part of it would be getting libpcap to work on WinCE....Fortunately, that seems to be already done.
If there's a developer interested on taking this project, I've found a WinCE port of Winpcap (scroll down to the part about Windows CE):
