| Hello,
I finally discovered the ideal (for me) handheld in the psion netbook pro.
having had several handhelds, laptops and notebooks, the decent sized screen and full keyboard in a smallish package hit the sweet spot.
I bought it secondhand on ebay for $600, a far cry from its ludicrous 1800 euros psion price (when they still sold it)
the netbook is in very good working order, but for one problem. I can't get it to write on a SD-card. Reading from it works.
writing to a CF-card also works.
Is the sd-port of the netbook read-only? or is there some setting hidden away in windows (ce4.2)?

| This I already tried with storage manager
- an empty window appears with title:'unable to format store'
There's also a the format under the partition properties.
There I get to the format settings page (with partition size, fat version,...)
upon start, error "error in writing to disk"
Scan and Defrag report no errors.
I tried with an 128Mb card as with another 2Gb card, -same error
In my Ipaqs as in my ToshibaST5020 tablet, the cards are writeable.
(for completeness sake: the lock on the cards were in off -notprotected position)
BTW: if you know of specific netbook pages/forums, please let me know

| i meant, format it under XP 
but if other cards have the same problem... geez might be a hw fault? try a hard reset? |

Maybe you can try and check Jürgen Rothberger´s handheldPC Forum
It´s THE German website on the HPC topic but you can ask also in English.
There are some user reviews on the NB Pro.

Oh xp, that'll have to wait till tomorrow
It'd be annoying if it were a hw fault, but the cf-card works fine so it won't be a showstopper.
