| Hey all,
If this is off-topic, I apologize in advance...
I have a client who has 5 Intermec CK31s. They are a ruggedized WinCE.net 4.2 handheld, quarter-VGA touch screen, ABC-style 50-something key keyboard, wireless interface (Prism-based, I think), and a barcode scanner, all rolled into one.
I spent today installing access points in their factory, and got one of the CK31s set up. It works very well -- we've got 5 APs, and I can roam from AP to AP without dropping my connection.
I spent Friday on the phone with Intermec tech support getting the device flashed with a newer version of the OS than it originally came with -- evidently, the older version (3.00.00.0732) had mangled radio drivers -- it lost track of the fact that it had a radio installed.
We're basically using them as a barcode enabled telnet session (TE2000). Using no encryption, and DHCP.
I want to clone the settings from the working device to the others. I'll still have to go thru the steps of reflashing the OS and installing an updated TE2000 on each one. What I'm looking for is a way to dump all of the other settings from the working device to the others. The only thing I'll change will be the system name (in Intermec Settings) -- everything else stays the same.
Jornada 720s came with HP Backup -- I didn't find anything like that on the Intermec.
Any suggestions will be appreciated -- it'll keep me from having to manually set everything up in the other 4 handhelds.
Thanks,
RLW

| just use a third party backup software, sunnysoft has one specifically for cenet. or artssave.
but if this involves drivers i can't guarantee you'll be able to do a perfect full restore. you'll have to try and see if it works or not

I use EzBackup. As cmonex said, not sure if it'll work in your situation, but give it a try

| Thanks for the replies -- I ended up manually configuring the devices after flashing the new OS and installing TE2000...
Thanks again,
