The Palm-size PC Note Taker doesn't have the most user-friendly UI, but other than that I like it - it does allow handwritten notes, and one can install Jot to use to translate handwritten notes into text on the fly.
quiche: Pocket Word also supports handwriting recognition. I've used the PA-2400U's onboard utility
(smARTwriter
) in Pocket Word successfully - though smARTwriter is not the most user-friendly
(picky about how you write the letter on the screen, inserts a space after each letter, etc
). Calligrapher is definitely better.
The one advantage of using a notepad app instead of Pocket Word is that the former uses far less program memory, and given only 8 MB RAM in the PA-2400 series, this could be helpful when multitasking.
