Oh okay, then I will not use pnotepad.. Wait, maybe it's useful on PsPCs as they dont really have anything like PocketWord in ROM, Notes is not a good app on PsPC IMO

The Palm-size PC Note Taker doesn't have the most user-friendly UI, but other than that I like it - it does allow handwritten notes, and one can install Jot to use to translate handwritten notes into text on the fly.

quiche: Pocket Word also supports handwriting recognition. I've used the PA-2400U's onboard utility (smARTwriter) in Pocket Word successfully - though smARTwriter is not the most user-friendly (picky about how you write the letter on the screen, inserts a space after each letter, etc). Calligrapher is definitely better.

The one advantage of using a notepad app instead of Pocket Word is that the former uses far less program memory, and given only 8 MB RAM in the PA-2400 series, this could be helpful when multitasking.

Good point, CEGeek, about pnotepad being low on usage of system resources.

i doubt it is pocketword that supports handwriting recognition. it just accepts text as it arrives to it. the hwr app will do the rest, i.e. recognizing the handwriting, converting it to text and sending that to pocketword. afaik.

I think you're describing the process more accurately.
