I know this thread is old, but I'm considering buying the NEC MobilePro 780. I'm buying it mostly for on the go Messenger access (Yahoo and MSN), via Wi-Fi and/or my bluetooth phone.....
you'll be fine msn, yahoo and wifi shouldn't be too much of a problem on a hpc pro machine. bluetooth is tougher but beta drivers exist.. check them at hpcfactor.com/hcl
