| Now I know this may be silly but I was wondering if it would be possible for TCPMP to have somthing added so that when it is playing audio files it will display some nice large finger pressable buttons on the screen for audio control?
Yeah I know most of us are not developers but I thought I would just pop idea out there.

| Well, I would not like to leave greasy finger marks on my screen... I always prefer my stylus or the keyboard.
Anyway, there is a solution for your problem: skinning. The "ancestor" of BetaPlayer/TCPMP ( ProjectMayo's PocketMVP ) was a skinned application. Implementing the PocketMVP skinning system in TCPMP is not a silly dream at all: it IS possible to achieve it - it has already been done, actually....

We can't help it if you have greasy fingers, Geared2003. |

hmmmm tell me more.... ps even if you still use stylus some nice chunky buttons would still be handy if you are travelling and maybe it's a little bumpy. |

Or if the touchscreen calibration is not as accurate as it should be |

| hehe.....wish my boyfriend would I like the chunky buttons idea, as i don't actually have a stylus on mine, but then i like seeing the album artwork embedded in the tags.
Any ideas about aac plus support? AAC files seem to work, but i tried a few AAC+ radio streams with no luck.
Also, it might be a bit off topic, but can TCMP play back mp3 files gapless (pref. from a network share ), so i could listen to, say, Dark Side all the way through without gaps like with iTunes? (Or failing that another play that can... ) |

| All necessary plugins ( DivX, WMV, FLV, etc... ) are already included: you don't need anything else... |

| Hi Gear2003,
Thanks for the great work! I tried the latest v1.07 (updated for GAPI issues) but got an error dialog upon launching it: "This ARM_CE2 version of the player is not compatible with this device. Please install ARM_CE3 version"...
I'm using a WinCE 5.0 PNA (Medion)... Would you happen to have a compatible version?
Thanks,
Quasar |

| Hmm, I have the nasty feeling that CE 5 is a bit like Vista ( vs XP ): I hear many complaints about compatibility issues... Applications that used to work fine on CE 3 or CE 4.x don't work on CE 5... Any other CE 5 users with similar experiences...?
In the meantime, try to install the regular TCPMP V 0.72:
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/
Use the PocketPC version of the player:
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab
Please report your findings

| my suspicion is that a patch would be very easy. for some reason tcpmp doesn't want to recognize devices with a CE OS version higher than 4.21 .. try this attached player.exe (from hpc mediaplayer 1.07, just patched it )
p.s.: i faintly recall patching this before, i don't remember if i ever posted it though or if it did then i don't remember feedback. so i'd appreciate some, thanks Edited by cmonex 2007-12-25 2:18 PM
