| You'll definitely want to explore Doug's site. It's devoted to networking. He mostly works with 72*'s, but some fundamentals are the same.

| Thanks. Just for the record, My card is Wired 10Mbps.
Took it out since I find it drains the Battery quick.

| I am so Lost at setting up the network. The driver name prompt is gone. Just cant get the 680 to talk to my PC. I tried setting the ActiveSync to go through the Ethernet cable. Doesnt seem to work.
Under communications, It doesnt list my Lan card. Just a Modem and a IR option. But my 3Com does show up under Networking options.
Thanks for any input.

| I really havent had a chance to. Been working crazy hours. Havent been home much in the last few days. Like tommorow, I have to go to Philadelphia. To the corporate office. A few others and myself are "Testing" a new computer system for the stores. My store is being renovated in about 2 weeks. With a New Linux based Parts/Service/POS system.

| Correct me if I am wrong here. When I click on Remote Networking, it should show me the Lan? I only see two options. Serial and IR.

| I had a heckuva time building my ad hoc peer-to-peer network. Shadesj720.com helped enormously, but you have to commit yourself to a long period of trial-and-error and keep notes of your mistakes so you don't end up repeating them.
Of course, I had to do it on WindowsME, essentially an anti-network.
When you do get it working, copy down the specs/properties for both sides of the network, store on *.txt file on both machines.
Sometimes, my J will just lose my Orinoco addresses, etc., and I couldn't tell you why, but with my notes, it's easily rebuilt.

| RAS?
ActiveSync? I did check the box enabling the Ethernet connection. It doesnt try. Software glitch. I Unchecked USB. It keeps trying USB. I Uncheck Serial, Doesnt use that port.
Running version 3.8

| I tried that. the 680 doesnt give me the option of Ethernet. Only Serial and IR.
Under Remove programs, i have the:
3COM5c589
HPC 3COm driver
HPC Handheld PC 2.0 Network
Should I try Unistalling all and then reinstall?
