| Will this card drain battery power when the antenna is inside of the pcmcia-slot? If not count me in.
//edit: Just discovered the first two pages of this thread. This seems great, I'm in.

| I can testify to it being great. It's a permanent fixture in my 728 now. |

| You can get them here:
http://www.alpaxo.com/downloads/
Try the link later, though, as the downloads are temporarily unavailable. |

| I have these cards (and driver utility ) available again. You may purchase them with PayPal directly on the Alpaxo Software website. The cost is US$20, with free shipping worldwide.
There are also eBay listings for the wireless cards (as well as RedGear), for those who prefer dealing on eBay for one reason or another. Edited by isotherm 2009-04-14 2:11 PM

| Is there a chance of doing a deal with the card/configuration utility and redgear for a discounted price if bought together? Just wondering.
thanks |

| What sort of range do these wifi cards have? Because I have had trouble with 802.11b cards before.

| No, I already make so little profit that I can't do combo deals. But RedGear has already dropped from $24 to its original price of $20, and the wireless cards are $20 this time instead of $25.
The range is about normal for an 802.11b card, if that gives you any clue. And in any case, 802.11b is all that you can use on a Jornada, as far as I know. Most (all?) 802.11g cards are Cardbus. |

| I certainly have no complaint about the price - I think it's a great deal. I'd jump on it if I didn't already have one. (And it works quite nicely, thank you. ) |

| got mine a couple of weeks ago and I just wanted to say that if you have a compatible Jornada then you should really get one. I've posted on here about having trouble with other cards but this one has been rock solid. The interface is so simple and clean even i can figure it out! the price is pretty fair and i love that i can stow away the antenna. good marks all around on this one. |

| Can't argue with that. When one of my 728s got stolen, one of these cards was inside (adding insult to injury ), so when I switched to my other 728, I promptly picked up another one of these. It's a great card. |
