I used to properly bluetooth activesync (3.8) between my netbook pro (CE.NET 4.2) and old laptop with an external bluetooth Usb adapter (widcomm drivers). On the netbook pro have a Socket BT CF with Socket drivers (the same that worked with my old laptop)

Now I get a new Vaio SZ3 (winxp) with an incorporated bluetooth device by Toshiba and there is no way to get it working, the far it goes is to light the activesync green light, it says "connecting" but after a long while it drops the connection attempt.

The arrangement of the Vaio ports of the COM Local Bluetooth is the following:

COM3 HDAUDIO data fax System
COM6 Toshiba BT port LocalCOM Client
COM7 Toshiba BT port LocalCom Server (SerialPort Toshiba LocalCOM)
COM10 Toshiba BT port Information Exchanger
COM11 Toshiba BT port Information Exchanger
COM12 Toshiba BT port Information Exchanger
COM13 Toshiba BT port Information Exchanger
COM14 Toshiba BT port Information Exchanger
COM20 Toshiba BT port HSP Manager
COM21 Toshiba BT port HSP Manager

I tried Activesync 3.8 setting port COM6 or COM7. But nothing. Tried to add another port (COM1) LocalCom Client and LocalCom Server, but neither worked

I understand that activesync 3.8 only works with single digit ports. May it be that ports COM10-COM21 cause the problem?

I am sticking with activesync 3.8. May it be another release works better?

Thanks
