How do I get åäö on a Nec 900c? Are there any key combinations to get the dots?

If you are just using the build in Wordpad, go to tools and use the insert character command. You'll see those characters at the bottom of the window. If you are using some other application, go here: http://www.onhiatus.com/Software/ACT.html and download the ACT2A charater tool to do the same thing....

Can't you press like Fn+Z to get double dots and Fn+Q to get a ring? Thats how it worked on my Psion Netbook.

I would plan to imitate the (desktop) Microsoft Word shorcuts... does that seem reasonable? See them here: Keyboard shortcuts for international characters

http://wince-software.penreader.com/Language_Extender/articles/Download_area_for_LE.html they have a swedish version. for hungarian keyboard localization, i use the hpc pro version (better than hpc2000 one), works on any OS 2.11+.

or there's http://www.artsoft.ru/eng/artskhpc.htm (but i hear registration process is utterly crazy).

or AEKmap, i hear the developer made a version for cenet machines (sig3 at least),

these are of course payware.. OKEY from shadowmaster might allow you to write those characters for free, i'm not sure. and i've seen a little utility (again) free that allows to write hungarian chars on a netbook pro - a friend of mine claimed it worked very well. i can dig it up too.

isotherm if you're going to write a program, this should be the ultimate remapping program! i'll check what features are missing from the other ones. for example i don't remember seeing sticky combinations.
btw, i checked out your link, i don't really know those shortcuts, so not very useful to me but, others (who do more word processing) might just love it.
