| Hi All,
I've got Visual Basic eMbedded and the HP/C 2000 SDK all installed and working on my laptop. But when I run the application I get this error: (the photo )
What do I do to allow this to work?

| This is a known problem for the Jornada as hp neglected to include the device ID in their ROM image
You need to navigate in the registry to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Windows CE Tools
Create a new string value named
Platform
Then set it to:
{0F9D255B-97DA-4641-A8E6-7A7411D2472F}
and soft reset

| Hum.. that is the fix for the problem... You did include the {}'s and soft reset right?
You would need to have created the Windows CE Tools key as well. |

| So anoying... But anyway yes the { and } are around the key. What do you mean about the Windows CE Tools key. What does it need to contain. (It doesn't exist in the registry )
Thanks,

| I was just wondering. Can you write Visual Basic apps directly from the H/PC? What software would I need?

| Not using MS tools. There are the likes of NSBasic and so on. |
