| i have $300 to spend, and i wanna spend it on something tangible before it evaporates by the misc spending effect.
i already have a jornada which also serves as an MP3 player, with 256mb and 64mb CF's.
i have a satisfactory nokia 6800
that's all.
i wanted to buy a PS2 (with network card) to play tekken 5 online, but i was just told that it cannot be played online...so i'll pass that since i don't have anybody to play with...
any cool suggestions?
how about plants for the apartment? |

| Get an XBOX, additional chip for it, and a bigger harddisk.
Put XBMC on it and you got a full fledged media center machine, capable of playback of any video file availiable, over the network etc.
it also plays games still as well.
xbox $150
chip $60
harddisk $80

| Or you could donate that to some charity ... and be really Happy for that!
oh, you mean spend it on Gadgets? ... hmm ... since you already have a J, you don't have a need for practically anything else!
hmmm .... |

| What about software for your Jornada? I just checked and SoftMaker's link to reduced prices on TextMaker is still operational. With TM 2002, you can add PlanMaker 2004 at a reduced cost, also. Yachtzee was just reviewed, here, and there are several other games and utilities you can snatch up. If you do engineering there are also a few CAD programs from which you can select in the $100-$150 range.
On the other hand, if none of this software intrigues you.... you can always donate the $300 to MY J720 software fund! :+D
There are plenty of electronic gadgets out there, so I'm sure you'll find something for $300.
Good luck! |

| hehe, thanks for the suggestions guys...
i'm not a hardcore xbox fan, but i would very much like to try halo 2.
donating the money...hmmmm...i don't think so...i don't really feel anything good when i donate cash...i feel a little stupid. i don't know why. maybe corrupt upbringing lol...jk
i think i'd feel good about donating when it's a large sum that can create something i can feed my self-importance upon!!
buying software for the jornada, hmmm...there is nothing i really need, except maybe some of Henri's software at handheld attitude...are there really some CAD software for the HPC?..not that i need one, but just curious!
thanks again for the suggestions folks, i'll let you know where the 300 ends up going. |

| We still haven't had an owner report on the HPC compatibility of the Linksys WCF54 802.11g CF adapter.
Go buy one. Oh and a g router too if you don't already have one.
And if you still have change, get that CF USB host thingy and whatever USB stuff for the HPC you can think of.
Looking forward to your reports Edited by takwu 2005-03-07 5:30 AM

| Well I have two fabulous ideas for you.
There are around 300 members on this forum. Lets assume you can whole sale it for $1 a bottle, and we tween out the minors from the recipient list.. and you can buy everyone on the forum a beer. You would be some sort of hero to men! (And indeed the women ).
Alternativly you could give it to me
So, I'm curious too. What'd you buy? |
