I just bought a 2.2gb CF Microdrive and having trouble trying to get it work with my Jornada 720. When I insert it, The HP says "Unidentified PCCard Adapter", "Enter the name of the driver for this PCCard". But when I put in my iPaq pocket pc, or Laptop, it works perfectly. It's recognized right away. Any ideas?

hmmm ... should not happen ... but maybe you can try atadisk.dll ?

if you have some regedit tool for the 720, try looking into HKLM->software->drivers->built-in or something ... there is one that is something like that ...

or you can look under \Windows and see if its atadisk.dll or something. I don't have my MP790 with me right now to check. Someone help here.

I downloaded the updated ATADISK.DLL driver for the IBM microdrive, but It still doesn't work. I even try to force it to mount . I tried formatting it to FAT32, and FAT16. I even formatted it on my iPaq pocket pc.
The drive is a Magicstor 2.2gb + CF card ( with PCMCIA adapter).

Maybe their is a pocket pc driver I can copy to make it work. I tried it on three different pocket pc's and it worked.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The IBM atadsk.dll fle (note dsk not disk) is for 2.11, not hpc2000.

Are you sure thay your cf slot is working ok. Get a torch and check for bent pins, if you have access to a CF> PCMCIA converter, give that a try with it.

I've been using it in my PCMCIA slot with an adapter. I tried the same adapter with a regular Sandisk 1gb CF Flash card and it works. I also use the same slot for my WiFi card, So I doubt that it's bent pins.
