I just got an MP900c from UsedHandhelds.com today and i try to install the apps from cab files made for arm processors (they are compatible with x-scale processors right?). And it gave me that missing components message. I tried like 50 different .cab files!!
Can anyone help please!!

My experience tells me to go with cab files for processor code 2577 instead of 1824.

Benawesome,

Make sure that you copy the HPC2000 ARM mfcce300.dll and olcce300.dll libraries to the Windows folder on your 900C.

download the hpc mfc redist (armmfc.zip), the http://izemize.fw.hu/htmlviewWORKINGpack.zip, and toolhelp.dll from my site. place them to \windows dir.
then try hpc2000 apps, not pocketpc as a first try.

CAuser is referring to two different classes of ARM builds: 2577 is normally the one used for X-Scale processors, but it doesn't always work. The 1824 build is generally for older ARM processors, including for several H/PC 2000 and Pocket PC 2000/2002 devices. These numbers are sometimes included in the CAB file names.

P.S. I think it may be the installation of the exacutable that the .cab files are asocciated with. hope that helps.
Thanks

I just ran executibility check and it says that "\windows\wceload.exe is Invalid File."
That is bad. Can someone give a new copy of that file for an mobilepro 900c ce.net 4.2 system thanks.

2577 does always work.. at least ive yet to see one that doesn't

1824, what older ARM cpu do you mean there? ive never seen a 1824 cab that would run on hpc2000

My bad - looks like I got 'em bass-ackwards. Must've made a mental connection between PXA-25x and 2577. Don't pay any attention to me.
