my wl100 card wont work after I upgraded my MP 780 to 790 rom

I upgraded my mobile pro 780 with a 790 rom, I tried both the 2.11 and 3.0 drivers from compaq but niether one will work(errors). I saw on another post that there are wl100 drivers here on the hcl, but I cant figure out how to download them.(are they just linking to compaq, or are the drivers on this site?) thanks for the help

I had the same problem with my "789" (780 to 790 upgrade). However, it wasn't a big problem, at least for me- the error I was getting wasn't the driver itself, but the Compaq WL100 "Status Icon" program (it's supposed to put an icon in the system tray telling you if you're connected or not). I deleted the "WL100Sta" program from the "Start Up" folder (it's supposed to load upon boot-up) and all is well- except I don't have a status icon, of course.
