It seems that TCPMP isnt planning on adding support for the MediaQ 200 chip present in the Smartbook G138, the JVC MP-C303, most
(maybe all
) of the Simpad series and the Sigmarion 2. All of these would be great HPC video devices.
As an example, the Smartbook can perform at around 300-600kbps with GAPI for video up to about 480x480, but struggles in full screen mode
(800x480
). The Smartbook has dll's for the chip in ROM
(ddi_mq200.dll
) so some source may be available in platform builder.
Apparantly the Open Simpad project has some support for the chip, as does GAPI for HPC, so it may be possible. This datasheet is present on their site:

So, can anyone get the existing open source TCPMP to use this chip?
