Just an idea from a friend...can I pop my 720 onto a couple of 5 1/4 in. drive motors, hook it up with a serial cable, and er, make it move?

-(I LOVE being off topic )

probably you can.

with PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller)
and make serial comm apps with eVB or eVC++ to control the PIC connected to the motor.

Actually, I am trying to make a small display LCD (black&white, 16 letters X 2 letters) connected to my H/PC, but I have to program with eVB first, and transfer binary data to my PIC.. (maybe project for the summer)

Now that should breathe some life into your J!

Come to think of it, I just saw a pic of the J680 stacked with a MobilePro700 series, and my, was it petite! I didn't know its so small compared to the MP700s. hmmm ... if I had known, I might have opted for a J instead!
