wifi duh!'s

I'm stumped! I've looked at 100's of pages of info on wireless networking........

I am running an AMBICOM W1100CF card on a Mobilepro 780 thru a DLink DI-624 router.
I connect at the office, been on a wardrive, made > 15connects between home & office!
Finally, after a week I am online right now, at home, ONLY BY DISABLING ENCRYPTION.

I just go nuts when I can't find the cause of a problem.

Any thoughts?

WEP or WPA?
Checked fir new AP / NIC firmware

How many bits is the security key?

WEP/64 or 128 bit, or shared, or hex, or open text.......................................
I think it's just a hardware conflict, I've seen 'em before.
I think I'll just do away with the antena, by way of a dummy load. I can pr'olly cut the range back to blue tooth level or less.

I've been thinking about variable wifi output for a while anyway. My inhouse tech guy and I have already prototyped a directional system for our peoduction area.

We've been playing with CE WEDGE, a data logging program,
that might be used in "sensitive" areas. We are looking for a little more ooomph than Bluetooth.
, while not affecting other processes.

Oh well! it keeps me outa' the bars.
