hello i just recieved a used mobilepro 900c .i cant get tit sync it up . i tried to use both my laptop and desktop pc's . i installed active sync . the hpc didnt come with the original sync cable . i am using a standard mini usb cable . when i plug it in, both the desktop and the moblepro beep . the software on the desk top says not conected . when i click conect it searches and finds no device . any help please?

read This, it details exactly how to sync your 900c. you may just need to install the usb drivers.

hello thank you , but it still doesnt work . in the instructions it said to use activesync version 3.8 for the 900c but i only get version 4.2 . i reloaded that and tried again but no luck . i think it does lie in the 900c 's driver . i will look for another source for ther drivers . i would appreciate any further hints on this problem
After much frustration, here's what worked for me (WinXP, SP2 & Activesync 4.2):
If you have installed the XP USB driver, it will create a directory - C:\nec\WinXP USB Driver containing the file wceusbh,sys. Plug in the MP900C. When "found new device" wizard pops up, point the driver installation to this directory. If you don't do that, it fails to find the driver.
