When doing the flash OS upgrade on the MP900c can you just restore the previous files from before the upgrade? Or would doing that mess the upgrad?

Depends on the files. If they are just data files, then probably sure...no problem. But if they are program files, then you may have to install the program from scratch as the flash will delete any registry values you had in there....

I'm confused. Before reflashing, wouldn't you export the registry so you'd still have the keys afterward?

Yes but if I restored the registry would that or any other restoring via activesync or any other program mess up the updgrade or MP900c?

I backed up everything, including the registry, on mine with the bSquare tool before I upgraded. There were no significant problems restoring it all afterwards. I didn't have to reinstall anything.

Did anyone else have any problems I would like more than one opinion (at least 2) before trying.
Thanks
