| I can't wait for V2. V1 made all of the difference in the world with using the 900c (I actually regretted buying it until it was flashed). I'm not picky about what to add. I just can't wait to have it! BTW, that screenshot looks awesome Cmonex! |

glad you found v1 useful!
i hope you'll like v2 too
the screenshot is of the updater bootloader, but the background image in wince will match it

Looks great, looking forward to the final product.
BTW: I forgot to let you know there is still a minor problem with the cursor. When an app. is open the cursor is present, but when you tap on the screen or start to type it goes away. I’m using your v 1.5 with the update and the gwes.dll to remover the cursor.
oh, that is interesting, well, v2.0 will come out cursorless, and a mui file will be available for users with a mouse. hope that'll work out better than this. Edited by cmonex 2007-10-28 2:46 AM

| good neeeeeeeeewwwwwwwws for you all
a 900c here is running v2.0!
i have to sort out some very little bugs and write up the changelog and stuff like that, then it is RELEASE TIME!
tech stuff follows for those who are interested
......i had to waste a whole night to find out why my image didn't boot. it was one irrelevant byte's value that filesys.exe was foolishly checking for. this is also the solution for the registry problem mentioned in my rom editing document! that doc will be updated soon too!
thanks go to my favourite disassembler, ida pro, otherwise i'd never have realized.
anyway, it turned out that after all, my image was perfect (apart from the small things that i overlooked while building it ), just that one byte prevented it from booting..
end of tech stuff
anyway i need to go now, which is too bad because i'd really like to finish it fully and release it. stay tuned, it is coming today

| Will we need a password to get the new bootloader as with Custom Rom V1?
64Mb card formatted to Fat 16 ready & waiting.

| hagis: it took maybe a few mins to finish the image after you left, but then hours, many hours until i found the problem.
airhook: no password, but it will only be bundled with v2.0 (and any later roms i make ), i would warn people not to use this for other purposes.
your card doesn't have to be waiting for too long, it'll get its stuff soon
i got to the PC quite late tonight, so i'm making the final touches to the rom only now. Edited by cmonex 2007-10-28 9:30 PM

| almost ready for release. there were again problems - wanted to put in a different commctrl.dll (not much difference really, though), as a module and it just wouldn't load. put in another commctrl.dll which is actually newer, but isn't tested as much. worst case there'll be an update, but the commctrl seems fine so far.
one last problem to solve, not too bad, so hopefully i can upload it within 1 hour... |

going to upload image now! also instructions and changelog soon!
note: there will be additional options later, for example a vanilla release that only has the system improvements, a kernel that has no NEC serial no bug fix (just in case someone has already registered a software that depends on it ), etc.
