I know, I know... a lot of companies are utilizing eBay these days. And clearly it is my own opinion of eBay that is shining through on these posts
To me, it has the potential to cause their customer base to question why they paid X dollars for something then can go on eBay and get it for substantially less.
Why?
Well then the same think can be said about the sales they hold on occasions, where the software is going for a fraction of the regular price. To me, this is no different than buying a new car when it just came out as opposed to waiting till mid-summer and get thousands of dollars off the price tag.
I'm happy for those who can get a good product at a bargain price, but it doesn't take anyting away from me - given the quality of SoftMaker software, I still think I got a real bargain, in spite of the larger price tag. That being said, however, I will likely not rush to buy software again from this developer unless I have an immediate need for it - I'll sit back, have a piece of pie and wait for the sale!
