900C: Power-On password not recognized.

Has anybody else had a problem enabling the power-on password on their MobilePro 900C?

After connection, the pop-up password window on the desktop of the workstation comes up but no matter what gets entered, the password is incorrect and after three tries ActiveSync shuts down. I've tried long passwords and shorter ones but nothing works.

Strangely, on my old Jornada this works just fine. The password is recognized immediately...

I've been trying different versions of ActiveSync and am currently using v.4.5. The Jornada always works fine but the password is never recognized on the MobilePro.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Did you install any programs from the ROM or any programs period. If you did sometimes it sets the password to something else. Try something obvious like "password". Sometimes it works.
