Ok So how many times has this topic come up? Loads right? So I've think I've cracked the hardware side. I've just brought a GlobalSat CF GPS BC307 It works purfectly with My Jornada 720, but anyway. What software can I use? I know that the Pocket Streets GPS dosen't work so that one is out the window. Street Wizard don't look to bad but it's expensive. That basicly just leaves OziExplorer CE. Has anyone used it and how did you get on with it? Or do you use another?

Thanks,

Nick

MapSonic shall work; if not the latest version, a bit older - check out Zona TodoPocektPC. OziExplorer should also work, especially because there is a HPC version. There was something about at Yahoo J720 group.

Awesome. Great job on solving the problem.

Is it a good card? How well does it work? Any screenshots of gps on a CE device in action?

Hi,

I find that the best GPS software avaialable is Pocket Map Viewer. I am a Malaysian and GPS software is limted here, especially when it comes to maps. Pocket Map Viewer however allows the use of maps generated by the Garmin GPS devices, and because of the sheer number of users around the world that uses Garmin, there is a wide variety of free maps.

The app is shareware, and is available at this url

http://pocketmv.homeip.net/

Resources for maps can be found at the following :-

Various Countries
http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com/catalogue.php

Mid East

Caribbean and Japan

Pocket Map Viewer is also avaialable for the HPC 2000 OS. Try it out guys!
