I just bought a NEC MobilePro 900C and now I need to get a wireless card for it. I was wondering if there are any 802.11g cards for the machine or is WinCE 4.2 incompatible with 802.11g. I took a look at the hardware compatibility list and I didn't see any 802.11g cards there, but I'm hoping maybe the list is outdated. Has anyone had any luck getting any 802.11g cards to work?

Thanks.

There are no wifi cards for any HPC that run in 802.11G mode. Even the CF 802.11G cards will only operate in 802.11B mode.

The list is as up to date as people send in submissions for *hint*

The H/PC's data bus couldn't hadle 54Mbps anyway, it would only ever operate in compatibility mode!

So those 802.11g CF Wifi cards they sell for Pocket PCs are really not much faster if at all? If so, then why are they even made?

Some of the faster pocketpcs with cf slots can take advantage of the increased speed of a G card, and there are some networks that will allow only G connections. So I imagine that perhaps that might be the reason TFGBD, plus who knows, maybe they designed them with potential future devices in mind.
