Fatal Application Error

Help ,

I am a newbie that just got a Mobilepro 900c. At the price they're going for now,
I thought they were getting too cheap not to buy. I had used a USB thumb drive
with my machine several times with no problem. It simply recognized the drive
as a "hard disk" and away I went. The last time it asked me for the drivers.
Since I didn't know what to tell it, even after a breif scan in \Windows, I decided
to hard reset the machine, hoping it would be like rebooting Windows. Ouch!
What was I thinking ? The machine came up with an alert panel:

"Fatal Application Error"

"Application usbwait.exe has performed
an illegal operation and will be shut down."

"Exception: 0xC000001C"
"Address: 90207C98"

Then the machine totally hangs. It's not taking touchscreen input to close
the alert panel, and I can't even power it down. Unless, I am lucky that enough
time going by makes it go away, I have no clue what to do. I have tried resetting
several times, but I end up in the same place. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
I hope I don't need to consider the $150.00 I just spent simply an education.
I don't know if I'd think its worth taking the risk without at least getting the full
education on how not to end up there again, and hopefully on what to do in case
I do.

All informative responses welcome.

Thanks In Advance!,

Pull both batteries and let it sit for a while and see what happens, at least 15 minutes....
