| Hi guys!
I loaded the same program (that I used with my strongARM Jornada 720) for my wpc11 v3 including the same drivers, but the program couldn't find its components or something.. And the driver didn't work.
So I went to hpcnec.com and downloaded prismnds and tried that, but it didn't work.
Is there some way I could run my card on my Mobilepro 900c?
Thanks!

| The driver on my site is the prismnds.dll from the wcf12 card. The prismnds.dll from the wpc11 download from Linksys does not work...I don't know why, but it doesn't. But the wcf12 driver does work fine...at least on all of my 900Cs.
However, with the latest rom build it has become pretty much unnecessary. If I owned a new 900C, the first thing I would do would be to flash the rom with the latest os build. It has support for the wpc11v3 card built into it and no additional drivers are needed at all.

| Thank you both, the firmware version is this:
PIC Firmware ID: 4.19.7
Firmware Version: P530_42_1.8.5
Bootloader Version: 4.5.1-6
So is there anything I can do to repair the problem?

I installed it like you said Rich, and it's worked
But it can't find my wireless network?
I had the exact same problem like this on my Jornada 720 as well, no network to be found. The card works in a PC though... |

Nope an actual email has been sent !
Rich, when I use your driver, prismnds.dll with my card, it works and everything, but each time the card is inserted into the device, it freezes it, and the only way to unfreeze the card is to remove it. Even when I soft reset, and the card is inserted in the device, the screen will stay blank until I remove the card. |

Macmee,
For an off-the-wall experiment, see if the same thing occurs if you leave the CF slot empty. Some of us seem to have consistent initialization lock-up problems with this card in the 900c, likely independent of the driver.

I just tried booting my mp with the card not inserted, no problems, its only when the card is using those drivers, but I haven't any other driver to test the card with. |

| David,
I just tried booting my mp with the card not inserted, no problems, its only when the card is using those drivers, but I haven't any other driver to test the card with.
I'm not sure we're talking about the same card slot.
My hypothesis is that the problem occurs at the time when the (any) driver turns on the power LED on the wifi card in the PCMCIA slot on the right side of the unit. This will presumably happen if either the card is plugged in when the unit is not suspended, or when the Pwr key is pressed to leave suspension while the wifi card is already plugged in.
My experience is that the latter case, unsuspending with the Pwr key, frequently locks up the system requiring a soft reset to recover. However, this does not seem to occur if the CF memory slot in the front of the unit is empty.
Regards, Don
