I can't find them on the site anymore. I had them working great with EtherLink III 3c589D-TP for my Jornada 680, I had to do a hard reset, lost my driver and can't find where I saved it (I won't make that mistake again.

Where can I get 3c589.SH3.cab???

vcuwilson, you're now very special to me.
You must be the only person on the planet that has a working 589D on a hp device.

Is it prompting you for a driver name? Crashing? Refusing to soft reset with it installed? doing anything odd what so ever?

It is prompting for a driver name with each restart, but after that, no problems, no lock-ups, no nothing...browsing just fine.

Oh, that'll lead to problems. It will be filling up the driver database.
Pls make a full backup before you try it:
This one should technically fix the driver name issue: Download for SH3

You have to get into the trgistry editor and clear out the contents of:
HKLM\Drivers\Active\

There will be a load of 3Com entries in there.

Pls backup before attempting it.

Hello, i am trying this driver with a 3com 3C589D-TP in a HP 360LX (windows ce 2.0, pcmcia type 2) but it didn't work. ¬/ ¬/
I have installed the 3c589 drivers (for SH3 processor) and then the network service pack from this page, but when i insert the card, the led in the dongle (cable from the card to the router) it keeps blinking with no response. When from a standard notebook i connect this card, the led is always off when no link is present, and the link is always on when link. In the HPC, before i put "3c589.dll" (i have also tested if it's case sensitive but it didn't) when it is requiered, the link led when stop blinking, sometimes keeps on forever or somethimes keeps off forever with no importance if the link is present or not (tested with the router.)
I want know if somebody with the same HPC or simillar have this problem and can helpme to solve it.
Thank you so much to HPC:Factor to provide free suport for this kind of problems.
P.D.: Sorry for my english, but i'm south-american (¿?)

Metal, welcome to the forums.

I use the 3C589 driver with no problems under my CE2 based 320LX.
If you downloaded the SH3 driver listed above, you have downloaded the wrong version. That is for CE 2.11. You want the CE 2.00 driver which can be found here:
CESD-H-0009

Please uninstall any previous drivers before continuing.
You need to install SP1 and the NSP before installing the driver.

No, i have donwnloaded the correct version (windows ce 2.0 and SP1 installed). When i install the NSP after of the 3c589, in the moment of install the patch it shows a message which says that the files dhcp.dll, etc. are in use and it cannot owerwrite them.
So, i installed first the 3c589 patch and before the NSP to avoid this error.
I'll keep trying, but if you have some information I will be thankful
(I know less english every time (¿?¿?))

Is your device an English language one?

I've not had any reports of problems with the 2.00 driver. You can of course try the original 3Com binary, which is available from www.3com.com. You will need a CE services CD to do it.
