There are two models of the PenCentra 200 - the HPC Pro and the HPC 2000. The HPC 2000 is the more advanced system. If you have the HPC Pro - then you need to get a new ROM chip to upgrade it to the HPC 2000 system. I saw one on Ebay last week at about $80 plus shipping.

You can install programs - go to support & tutorials here at the top of the page you see the link.

I have the PenCentra 200 HPC Pro model. My experience has been that I have only been able to install certain programs and games. Not as many as I have on my MobilePro 790 (HPC 2000) or even my Hitachi Eplate (HPC Pro).

That would be hpc pro you have. wich you will know by it listing it as system version 2.11, HPC 2000 will list it as system version 3.0

Yes. It means exchanging an internal chip. I've never done it. And I wouldn't pay that much for the chip.

Don't worry, though - you'll find plenty of useful and fun apps for H/PC Pro. (And as you get familiar with it and learn more about the system, you'll find even more.)

yep, just exchange chips and that is it. Fujitsu sells them with CD .

They sell for $190 from Fujitsu.

Okay, everyone, all together now: TCPMP!

http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/0.71/

Save all the files with "setup" in them on your PC and open them there to install them on the PenCentra with ActiveSync.

I wasn't implying for you to buy just giving proper info and showing that 89.00 is not bad for the upgraded chip.

Welcome to the forums, hope we can help you with your PC 200.

I still wouldn't pay $80 for the chip. I might pay $20 or even $30.
