I agree (on the extended battery)... you should get a lot more. Are you attaching other devices (wireless card, etc.).

Nope - no other devices attached and back light on lowest setting!

My latest results using the extended battery (with 20% left in battery power)

9 days, 3 hrs of idle time
4 hrs 40 min actual use time

Well at least it last more than a week in idle time, the regular battery would be drained in about 5 days even when not using my 900c.

I know it's just my bad luck!

well if you get 9 days and 5 hours of usage that is fine. i bet before you got 1 day and 3 hours of usage, no?

sadly the 900c eats a lot in suspend, dont know why. so thats why you only get 5 hours. you will get a lot more if you use the battery up within a couple of days by using the 900c lots.

No - more like 4 days and 3 hrs of usage before using the extended battery!

You are right about the 900/900c eating a lot of battery power in suspend......I think NEC did a better job with the 780..I can let it sit for 3 weeks in suspend and still have 30% on the power meter.

Oh - well not much I can do about this ....thanks for all of your help.

I have 'played' with some of your suggestions and with some good ideas from this forum and have now my MobilePro 900c and Jornada 720 packed with some very good software.

What also is very cool is that I could use the serials codes from my PPC software (For two years now I'm a satisfied Best Of Everything user - so I have a LOT of registered PPC software) for the HPC versions. I now have the full versions of HPC Notes, Conversions In Hand, Netfront, VisualCE, Pocket Slideshow, Pocket Artist and Pocket Genealogist

I'm still learning and exploring the possibilities of these machines (I have them now for 2 weeks) - but I can tell that I will use these machines more then my expensive PPC's.
Why view PDF files on a tiny PPC screen if you can view them perfectly on your HPC? Softmaker office on a PPC ~ nice for viewing documents, but editing documents is MUCH better on a HPC. And there are dozens of more examples. I'm very happy with my HPC's

Think we could do an ad line?
