Well, to make a long story short. To build a few cables or just get you a few connectors is not
going to happen anytime soon.
Its costly and time consuming to do and if only a few people need some... havent had much interest from enough people to make it worth while (yet )

| Hi, Sorry to barge in to the convo, but I have been desperately trying to find a serial cable for the NEC Mobilepro900. If you do ever get to build some or find one somewhere please let me know. I would grab 3. |

| Can someone refresh me ... Didn't I hear that another device's serial cable turned out to fit just right? (Like something from Sharp, maybe or something? I can't quite remember, and I know the search function needs a little help..)
What's the likelihood of tracking those down?

| jmgunzel: no, nope. there is no such cable.
what we found was a connector. (not another device's, it is the original connector, the big thing was finding out the model number and where it is available) Gweb ordered some and built some cables with that but he's out of stock now - hopefully there will be enough interest to continue.

| Hey, what is the connector model? With the model number, I can contact Pharos to see if one of their cable assemblies for iGPS-360 fits MobilePro 900(C). I want to connect iGPS-360 to MP900C.

| Sorry, I missed the info about the connector though it's there. According to a website right in Silicon Valley, they are selling the cable right now at $44.41. |

My problem is even with the cable, I still cannot connect iGPS-360. The reason is Pharos' serial connector is proprietary. I'd guess the NEC serial cable has a standard DB9 connector at one end. Right? |

| So, for me I need first a Pharos serial cable with Honda connector (unlikely ) or standard DB9 (slim chance ) or other connector. If I use one of Pharos' cable assemblies for PDAs, I also need an adapter to convert it to standard DB9. Um, it's probably not worth the effort and cost. Edited by CAuser 2007-07-01 5:07 PM

| Well done. It's professional work, just like factory made or even better. Edited by CAuser 2007-07-02 12:58 AM
