network printing?

i am running win ce 3.01 on a mobilepro 780. is it possible to print through my wireless network and if so how?

Yes it is possible.
There are some limitations though.

Without third party software you are limited to being able ot print to a PCL3 compatible printer Only. There are a list of these in the HCL. Third party software can expand on this in some cases, as can printer specific drivers.

There are two ways to print

1. From the Print dialogue in many applications and choosing Network, then typing in the direct UNC path to the printer


2. Open the network shares list up in Widows CE Explorer for the computer with the attached printer. Then drag / drop the file you wish to print (or copy / paste) it into the network share for the printer.

thanks alot. at least i know what kind of printers i can use. unfortunately my printers not on the list. oh well. what about irda printing? is that also just for the printers on the list or can i use that with any printer with irda?

again, it has to be a PCL3 printer.
You need third party software to print to other printers.
