Ok then what is the best wired network card for my Jornada 720. My 3com card won't work and I miss using the Inbox.

i depends on what do you want it for. i personally use the Socket LPE card, works like a charm, as the drivers are already included in the J720, and consumes very low power. the only drawback is that the card is only 10BaseT, but i believe socket has a 10/100baseTX card out now for some time

Hope this helps

I'm asking since you have a Jornada and the LPE. I bought a used LPE for a Jornada 565. The drivers are already installed as the LPE shows in the network connections list. I set it to DHCP. When I put the card in, it immediately causes a hardware reset. Ie it goes to a DOS-like screen, asks me if I want to erase all RAM, and gives me a choice of Y/N (only buttons will work when answering this). I've tried answering both ways (answering Y pretty much empties out the machine - of course, I had backed it up).

Would you guess that this card is defective?

anyway it's an absolutely abnormal behaviour! you should try your warranty (if you still have one which i doubt)...

sorry Cmonex, you're right, an iPAQ will never be a J, not even if we're talking about PPC's
