To start off: It must seem like I'm full of questions, because the few posts I have here consist of me pleading for help from you all. I cannot thank this community enough. You people have converted me into a handheld junkie!

So back to get back to topic, I am currently using Teraterm for my telnetting needs on my Mobilepro. While it is great that Teraterm is free, it is just plain out of date. No aliases, no color support. I've seen on this board at one point in time a MIPS port of PuTTY, does such a port exist? Google turns up little results but maybe there is another freeware telnetting/SSH client out there?

That's what we're here for Welcome to the community.

If you are simply looking for Telnet, have a look at http://www.cambridgevx.com/vxhpcplus.html

If you want PuTTY you want DejaVu's PocketTTY: http://www.dejavusoftware.com/pocketty/

Beggars can’t be choosers. If free is required he'll have to recompile PocketPuTTY for 2.11.

I take it PocketPuTTY is different from DejaVu's PockeTTY? Where is the source for PocketPuTTY -- and does it include its own SSL, or use the OpenSSL DLLs?

I went to http://www.pocketputty.net/ and tried to register on the forum, but it said my request needed to be approved and I haven't heard back. I wanted to download the source code and just see how much work is involved in compiling for wce211, but it looks like a royal pain if you haven't installed CVS and have to download the files one by one.
