Hi There,

How do I compile .ASM files to either .EXE's or .COM. I know I need MASM 5.1 but where can I get it from and what do I do?

Thanks

Nick

I don't really know about MASM but probably it's command line based assembler, so you have to use DOS Prompt for inputting parameters.

From what I know (which is little and ancient), it is probably asking for your asm files, ie your assembly source code.

Assembly codes, those were the days when .com meant a binary file that does not have the executable loader segment (or something).

Assuming the assembler exe is called masm.exe, how about if you run "c:\masm.exe /?"

THAT - was an accident, held down shift too early, and now I can't edit it

I'm going to try and accomplish what I am trying to do from another angle
