| Hi,
I have been trying now on and off for 8 months to try and get 128 bit wep to work on my 780. No luck tho. As soon as I disable wep on my router it has no problem. Im thinking about just buying an orinoco already but i would rather not since I have 2 wpc's now and Ive read someplaces where people get them to work with wep(but im thinking they are just fables). Are there any HPC PRO Wifi Sniffers? I also have a d-link 660w but that also uses the prisim chipset and didnt work.

| ministumbler with edited OS version should work as a wifi scanner.
how do you type in your wep key, passphrase or hex? |
|
|
|
| I type my wep in hex |

| download the execheck from my site hpcmonex.net/izemize.htm, unzip it, get the mips 2.11 version, run it on your 780, load ministumbler exe in it, and use rewrite OS version (self explanatory) to get it down to 2.11 or lower.
oh and you might need mfcce300 and olece300 dlls too, get them from mips211.zip on my site

| OK ran it through It said it needed the mfce300 dll so i put in in the windows folder and rewrote the version down to 2.11 . But nothing. i used the ministumbler from your website. I click on the original and the new ministumbler and nothing happens. Im probably missing something pretty basic but could definetly use some help. |

| you said you used the one from my site.. that is NOT for mips, not for the 780.
find the cab for the mips hpc2000 version... run the host installer and then go to program files and look for it there |

| Awesome. I had no idea that the cab files stored in the activesync folder. I hope Google picks up this post becuase its probably the most comprehensive guide to getting ministumbler working.
Now that its running I keep getting unable to communicate with device driver messages. I close ministumbler and it stops. |
