avic s1 is dead

hi and thankyou for your time.i was playing with the settings and by accident i managed to erase the whole flash.is there any way to get my avic s1 back to working order.ive read and read with no success.i dont think my sd card is recognized by the s1 and also i cannot connect it with usb cause it doesnt recognize the s1 either.any suggestions would be great .thanx in advance

are you able to enter bootloader mode?

i have some avic s1 dumps, and can try creating a flashable image for you to bring it back to life.

but first you need to confirm you can enter the bootloader menu


p.s.: what kind of settings were you messing with? in the bootloader or elsewhere?

if when you say bootlaiod you mean turning the s1 on and holding the menu and then i get a blue screen that says wince usb etc then yes

what i did exactly was
-i turned on the device holding the menu and volume buttom
-a blue screen popped up i went to choice 4 which was exit
-than any screen popped up i went to choice 3 which was other tools
-then another screen popped up i choose option 2 which was format flash for binfs
-and thats when it said erasing please wait thats whenm i lost everything

i see, thats a common cause of erasing the flash on these things.. but the bootloader is ok then..

if i have a working avic s2 is there a way to get the programs out of that machine to get the avic s1 working again and if yes what r the tools needed to get it done

can anyone tell me how to get a rom image out of a working avic s2 and is the software compatible with the s1 cause i have s2 working and not s1 wanted to know if it was possible

this is not needed, s1 dump is already done.. also i wouldnt try flashing s2 on s1, could brick the thing totally

the bigger task is not dumping it but extracting OS and converting it to the proper format. next week i'll have time.

ok i just recieved another avic s1 i was wondering if anyone knows how to get the image out of the working avic s1 so i can try to fix mine.any suggestions aswell thankyou

Still no files for S2? I also need to fix my AVIC-S2. I've tried with winceimgs1 files (bin and cks) but not use.
So, if somebode have an S2 to help us.

sorry, yes, I guess I forgot to post the link here. yes I made the roms (a while ago) that will unbrick avic S1 or S2:
