Why don't you explain steps to connect with bluetooth PAN, maybe they are similar on Socket BT card. I'ts just to have a try.
Thanks

Few days ago I wrote to Socket asking if bluetooth Cf card 8510-00159F support PAN progile.
The answer was it doesn't support PAN.
So, I suppose bluetooth PAN matter with Socket card may be closed for good, except in case of further stack hacking.

But, if there is someone that has managed to let PAN work, please he/she would be glad to let us know and share his/her results.
thanks

Just looked that was a reply on the forum not from tech support (it may be earlier drivers didn't have it or somthing).

So hae you tried pairing the 2 devices. It should pick up what profiles are available.

It may be that you then need to go into Network settings in CE and set up a new connection. This should allow you to select PAN on the Bluetooth. You may also need to setup internet sharing on the phone (though I am sure google will help with instructions here).

On pairing, the device doesn't report PAN service, but it does have.
As you supposed, there must be some setting to do in Networking settings in CE but now I was not able to ge the right one (still if service is supported).
If I set up a new connection you have this choice to set:

1.Dial up connection
2.Direct connection
3.Virtual Private Network (PPTP)
4.Virtual Private Network (L2TP)
5.PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)

I have tried all but no success till now.

Then, could be the possibility that I got the wrong driver. I didn't ge it from HCL someone pass it over me.

Hmmmm strange.... Looks like sockets drivers are missing PAN, could have sworn I saw it at some point.

If you can find bluesoliel that works with your device and use that instead of socket drivers it should allow PAN connections

I saw Bluesoleil drivers here in an older post (it was one of yours). I downloaded it but seems not work. There are also two dlls in the package and maybe it needs some hacks. If you could pass it to me I would be glad.

P.S.: If you tap on bluetooth icon there is the option LAN connection. Does it have something to do with PAN?

Not me... Don't think I ever posted bluesoliel.

I downloaded it from someone else who posted it here but couldn't get it to work either.
