PCMCIA problem HP

I inserted my PCMCIA adapter with 128 MB CF on my HP J680. It won't start anymore. No light, no nothing.
Anybody has any thoughts. Thanks for your help.

If U can't find it in support thread, try this now.
Hard reset it. Remove adapter, then the backup battery, then the main battery.
That's it.

Have you tried it on AC to see if it responds. Also try reseating the main battery and ROM chip (not while it has any power)

I hard reset it. I removed all power.
After 30 minutes, it worked like a charm.
