Hi,

I'm getting "Backup Battery Low" warnings that flash on even after installing a new battery. I seem to remember seeing something about a fix for this. Is that correct and, if so, where can I find it?

Thanks

as PS said, either hard reset or buy a new mobo. in the J680 sometimes the backup battery module died in an unexplainable manner, so it may happen the same to the J720

Hope this helps

Did any Intermec 6651 users meet the same problem?

My gear shows that message all the time since its screen replacement
I guess the service technician spoiled the Battery Lock sensors on the M/B
Even Two New CR2032 batteries replaced gets the same result ......Sigh!!!

Isn't there a way to disable the annoying message, by editing the registry or something?

There isn't one to get rid of the backup battery warning - at least not one that I know of

That happened to me, too. I know it's a little late, but for future reference, make sure you're using a Lithium bat

Also make sure that the battery is fully pressed in, otherwise I had the same problem you have. I ended up having to put a piece of cardboard in there to keep the battery from popping back out.

Did you try a different "fresh battery" and did you flick the plastic strip so the battery is securily in?
(A CF card can help keep things down.)

There maybe another thing, the contact on the bottom, I believe it is sprung, so you could fit a CR2025 (and I have done it before you ask! ). If it isn't producing enough lift (the metal bit on the bottom helps keep the battery in contact with that small plastic lip at the top), then you suffer from poor contact and get your problems.

These are simple things, not sure what else. (perhaps your Mobo is dead then?)
