My NEC MobilePro 900C has still yet to be delivered, but I am just prepping for it. Today I had a revelation--a vision, if you will--and thought it would be fantastic to get some of my Gmail messages onto my new 900C.

But, there's a problem. I normally don't like using Outlook on this computer because I'd rather use the Gmail web interface. Is there any way I can sync the unread messages in my Gmail account over to the 900C via actionsync (in other words, my 900C will not have Internet access), reply to them on the machine, and have them send when I plug it back?

Thanks, everyone.

P.S. - Oh yeah. On CMonex's pocket office port thing or whatever (.cab file), are the quotation marks "smart" (as in the curl inward and outward) or "dumb" (as in all of them like as follows)
"hello"

I haven't got internet access on my MobilePro 900C yet, but on my Jornada 720 I could log into GMail from the IE that was loaded in the ROM and it would take me to the standard HTML page. It is the same exact layout, just lacking the AJAX and some spiffy features that don't require a new page to load. Otherwise, I have used it and it is fine on the palmtops. I would imagine that the MP 900C wouldn't have a problem with it either.

Unless you are bent on downloading it via POP to your palmtop... I can't help you there. Sorry.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks,
Steve

why not just download them over pop, with npopuk or qmail3, and keep them (the emails) on the server as well.

I can view gmail just fine on my 900C just by going to gmail.com. As a matter of fact, it works even better because I seem to get a handheld formatted menu system...just the text and links....

Have you tried using this link to "force" it to plain html mode?
