Ladies and gents
I'm selling my pcg-u3. Google for more information - it's a great laptop, and I'm including the following extras:
- Standard battery (2-3 hours)
- Extended battery (6-9 hours!)
- 512MB RAM (from 256)
- DVD/CDRW firewire bootable drive
- carry case
- Restore disks for english & japanese

Images compared to a sigmarion 3:

£495 all in.

Ship to the world. Payment via cleared funds from the world (bank transfer), or I'll take paypal from the UK, USA or Canada with confirmed/verified addresses (basically, as long as I qualify for seller protection).

PM or post for more details

Cheers,
Nick.

Nice unit... But as always I'm sticking with the C1M... Just curious tho, why are you selling? I thought you really liked it much.

BTW, if no one here can afford it, you should get a pretty good price on eBay, especially if you have good feedback.

Cheers Takwu, I'm selling it because if I need a small machine I use the Sig3, and if I want to do generic computing I use the iBook g4.

It really does rock... But as I'm buying a new car next Saturday then freeing up cash wouldn't hurt. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't sell though.

cmonex, careful, you'll get drool on your gadgets!

It's on ebay for 495GBP buy it now

Transmeta CPU - hm. What's your opinion of that processor now that you've seen it in action on that computer?

I can vouch for the transmeta 600 I have one in my NEC versa daylite. It's not the fastest cpu but it's more then capable of running xp. With the long run utility I still get over 4hrs of use with it, with wireless and backlite on high. If I use it outside without the backlite I get 5hr+. Pretty impresive considering they are the original batteries.

The 733 Mhz Crusoe in my picturebook is doing just fine for XP Home, with only 384MB of RAM. Performance is really ok, as long as you don't load certain resource-hogging software, like the latest McAfee Virus Scan In addtion to good battery life, the CPU also produces little heat - something really appreciated for a small laptop.

it won't set the world on fire with its performance, but it's nippy enough IMHO.
