Applies To

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 Win16 with HPC:Factor Branding
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 with HPC:Factor Branding
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 with HPC:Factor Branding

Overview

If you have downloaded Microsoft Internet Explorer from HPC:Factor then you will have received the custom branding updates which provide links to Handheld PC community resources as well as customised Interface graphics.

These updates can be removed from Internet Explorer should the user wish. This article describes how to clear the branding customisations.

How-to Guide

The branding customisations are included in the distributions to provide relevance to Handheld PC users. The customisations do not affect the use of Internet Explorer in any way. Neither do they provide HPC:Factor with any information on your browsing habits.

There are several steps involved in how to clear the branding customisations. You may not wish to remove all modifications that have been installed.
