Microsoft Windows CE 1.01 - Pegasus (Japanese)

Released in mid 1997, Windows CE 1.01 demonstrated the true unicode ambition of the Windows CE platform. The operating system, fully localised into the Japanese language.

Windows CE 1.01 based Handheld PC devices were only available with monochrome displays. Most Windows Shell differences relate to the use of a smaller, softer font (compared to the use of bold Tahoma through most of the shell interface on its western language equivalents).
