Here I am with my new puppy at the University. All kinds of nerds are asking what it is and what it can be done with it, well it's 17 years old, you know... I was thinking that actually it has some features that only Apple with the iPad would include in mainstream product. Like solid state memory, instant on/off, touchscreen, proprietary connectors , one specifica app sync... Yeah, a little bit of sarcasm came up here. But hey it works after 17 years, it's great!

And on ebay with 7,5€ I found an Ethernet adapter, that very 3Com in the pinnend thread here. I hope it will work.

I tryed installing some apps with success, a scientific calculator and a pdf reader. The second one opens text-only pdfs.
What a shame that PocketC isn't downloadable anywhere. I wish to write a simple console app that let me open COM ports, it would be so cool use this thing to talk to an Arduino. And very handy too.

Anyone has a clue how compile an app or find PocketC .cab files?

I was trying to install the 3com 589Ethernet card, but after installin the NSP and the driver provided here, nothing happens. Did I miss something? I am powering it from the AC and all the software was installed in the RAM. Maybe I should install SP1 first? But I can't get the .cab file of it

Thank you

Hmmm, I've personally never used that card, and I see that we don't have a driver for it listed here either.

Looking at the FCC it might use some sort of prism chip
http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/h/0028.asp

However it's only a 2Mbps card, so Prism 2.5 might not help you.

I see it mentioned here:

http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1040&sta...

From my online search (which, not surprisingly, included jumping into the Wayback Machine) it looks like it has a Prism 1.0 chipset. Compatibility with Windows 3.x (NOT Windows CE 3.0) is also mentioned, so I'm not surprised to hear it's an 802.11a card.

I think it'll be an 802.11-1997 (2Mbps, 2.4Ghz) rather than an 802.11a (54Mbps, 5Ghz)

Hi,

I have spent hours trying to install Jlime on an HP-620lx. Can someone please provide a working link to the correct userlane, bootloader and configuration file? Perhaps I am not using the correct files specifically for the hp-620lx.

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Richard
