Hope someone can advise...going nuts here again...

Successfully installed Adobe Acrobat Reader v1.0 on my Sig3.

Then wanted to install v2.0 that I found on HPC Factor site.

When I tried to install from v2.0 CAB on my Sig3 got message that I should uninstall v1.0 first.

I did that, but I still get that error message!

I did find an 'Acrobat v1.dat' file in the Windows directory, so I deleted it too. Also, did soft reset just for
good measure....

Don't see any other v1 files, so don't understand why I can't install v2.0???

Anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks!

1) there's already a thread on completely uninstalling acrobat 1.0, maybe in the ce.net section, i'm not sure, search for it

2) you can't run 2.0 as easily as you could 1.0. i hope you're aware of this and the method to get it to work..

Now you tell me, cmonex!!

Anyway, for the moment at least it's working well now...

Someone else let me know that I needed to use RegEdit to remove the registry key for Adobe....

Thanks!

Sorry, if I wasn't clear, cmonex...

I meant that I already fixed it by the time I read your post...so didn't look for that thread...

Thanks again for your help!

So how did you manage to uninstall acrobat 1.0. When installing acrobat 2.0 i get the error message:

'adobe acrobat reader for pocket pc 1.0 is already installed. please uninstall it before installing adobe reader for pocket pc 2.0'

but its not installed. I uninstalled it.

I am using the IPAQ h2200
